Helene: One Year of Healing
Join us on Saturday, September 27 at the Brevard Music Center for a full-day, community-wide event honoring our shared journey since Hurricane Helene. This free gathering offers opportunities to reflect, reconnect, and move forward—together.
🌿 Event Highlights
- 💬 Workshops: Economic resiliency, trauma & aging, self-care frameworks, and hands-only CPR
- 🧘 Movement Classes: Yoga with Maddy Aper, guided hike with Mountain Roots, flexibility with Amy Land, and singing/humming/dance with Renee Trudeau
- 🎨 Community Art: Collaborative mural with Pardee & TC Arts, plus youth-led games and a Gratitude Wall activation
- 📣 Tablers: TC STRONG, FEMA, CARE Coalition, Vaya, SparkPoint Story Listening Tent, AARP, and more
- 🎶 Live Music: BHS & RHS Chorus, TC Choral Society, and special guest performers
- 🍲 Food & Drink: Local food trucks, Cup & Saucer, catering by BRB, and Hunger Coalition’s cooking demos
- 🐶 Plus: Therapy dogs, quilt projects, and lots of family-friendly spaces to gather and reflect
