Brought to you by:

The American Red Cross, SparkPoint, & Pardee Hospital Foundation

Event Overview:

Honoring the anniversary of a disaster is a crucial part of the healing process. Mental health experts, including the American Psychological Association and the National Child Traumatic Stress Network, note that these dates can stir deep emotional responses, but when acknowledged intentionally, they offer a chance for reflection, shared understanding, and emotional repair. Coming together in community allows us not only to remember what we’ve been through, but to reaffirm who we are: resilient, connected, and moving forward together.

Helene: One Year of Healing is a full-day, free community gathering that brings together people from across the region for a powerful experience of remembrance, connection, and collective renewal. Through movement, music, shared stories, and access to community support, this event invites us to heal and rebuild together. It is led by SparkPoint as part of the Wellness Rooted in Connection initiative and funded by the American Red Cross.
